Adjusting PayPal for other currencies

Selling goods on international markets means giving clients a fully localized experience, and that includes offering products in foreign currencies.

At present, your PayPal account is probably set up for your domestic currency only. With revenue coming in from foreign markets, however, you are going to need to set up your account for other currencies too. For UK sellers, this means adding EUR, USD and AUD currencies. If you are using the “old” PayPal interface, see this article. If you are using the new PayPal interface, here’s how to setup your account:

  1. Log in to your PayPal account
  2. From the main menu select currenciesPayPal new1
  3. From the drop down list, select the currency you wish to add and click the “add currency” button. Please note that for UK sellers, EUR is a must have. USD and AUS are also important to add.PayPal new2 300x151

You’re done! Now your PayPal account is ready to receive payments in the different currencies.
