We’re back with another biweekly Webinterpret in Review article. This week we have a lot of information about our new Webstores service, a slew of new blog articles, and we’d like to remind all our eBay sellers that they have to add GTINs to items that require Global Trade Item Numbers. GENERAL IMPROVEMENTS

  • The release of the Free VAT feature in the user dashboard has been slightly postponed. The new feature will allow sellers to remove VAT from the cost of their items, giving them a competitive edge in markets without VAT (Canada, the US, Australia). The feature will be available for German, French, Italian and UK sellers translisting items in the following marketplaces: Canada, US, Australia.
  • We gave out free tickets to ThinkGlobal Retail 2015 in Las Vegas!.

EBAY IMPROVEMENTS

  • Important: We’d like to remind eBay sellers that all new branded or refurbished items will require a Global Trade Item Number (GTIN, a.k.a. UPC in the US and ISBN internationally) as of September 1st. eBay will block original items with missing Product Identifier numbers when they are relisted, newly listed or edited. Items translisted on foreign markets are dependent on original listings, so please make sure original items are properly setup.   • Some users might have experienced an unusual amount of ended translistings, specifically on US and Australian marketplaces. This was caused by a large change in currency exchange rates between some countries. The only way to accurately modify the prices of your international items was to relist them. It was a necessary measure to ensure the profitability of international listings. We are working on ways to improve the currency adjustment process, so this sort of situation will likely not happen again.

WEBSTORES IMPROVEMENTS

  • Users with slower servers will process their orders faster with a new Asynchronous system. This will prevent buyers from giving up on a purchase due orders taking too long to process.
  • We are working on the ability to list in the USA, Australia and Ireland.
  • The translation flow has been improved, leading to better translations.
  • We are working on giving buyers using our Webstores solution the ability to pay with PayPal Express Checkout. This will make the entire payment process more streamlined than the current Paypal Adaptive Payments method.
